Wednesday’s winter weather event, producing, slippery and snow-covered roads, is just another reason why HCPD’s Collision Avoidance Training (C.A.T.)is a must for all our young drivers. Developed by the National Traffic Safety Academy and adapted from law enforcement training, HCPD’s C.A.T. defensive driving and vehicle control program teaches young drivers, age 16 to 20, how to better handle their vehicles in various situations. The cost is $95 to participate and participants must possess a valid Maryland “Class C” driver’s license and have a vehicle to drive during the practical exercises.
